Welcome to Vashon Lacrosse
The Vashon Valkyries... on their way to an undefeated season.
Vultures Reroute Orting, Going to State Finals

Vultures post meal

The Vashon Vultures won comprehensively today vs an outgunned Orting team.  Though Orting played valiantly and to the final whistle they were no match for a hungry bunch of Vultures.

Vashon scored first, scored often, defended well, and pretty much dominated all aspects of the game, except in the third quarter where it was a 3-3 game, and fouls and time in the box were plentiful.  This third quarter mental lapse will have to be dispensed with for the final.

Vashon went out to a 7-0 lead before Orting scored.  Word on the street was they had to cover the dangerous Paris Brown.  So they did.  This resulted in 3 goals from Kiryk Mozeleski, 2 from Yuri Coucoules, and 1 each from Ryder Jones and Fin McClure before Orting scored their first goal.  Then Paris finally unleashed his first goal.

The game was solidly in hand throughout.  By the end of the game it was Vashon 18 Orting 6.  Scorers were Mozeleski (6), Brown (5), Coucoules (3), and 1 each for Jones, Cal McMillan, Jake Carmon, and McClure.  Defensively, there were plenty of stops made by Goalkeeper Mitchell Nye, and defensive manhandling by Seniors Mason Rice and Joe Gighleiri.  Every player on the team contributed, with the underclassmen coming in to give seniors long rest periods as well as they have the state final now coming up on Saturday 4:30 start time at Starfire (stadium field).
